Shree Ram is the source of life, mother of universe, source of divine love, source and infinite reservoir of all powers. We may or may not get the bhavana or the feeling to connect with Shree Ram with love and devotion by thinking in these ways.
Let us change or add to the above – as our Gurujans suggest we can think of ourselves as a newborn divine child of Divine Mother Shree Ram. Pujya Maharaj Ji says. “Ram hee Ma hai aur Ma hee Ram hai”. We must not only think this way but feel that way in our minds and hearts and also totally depend on Divine Mother in every way and to purify us. So this defines our relationship with Shree Ram from now on in the following way as the Lord puts it:
I am Love/the Divine Lover and you are my beloved children. (Parmatma Premi hai aur Hum hain uske Priyatam)
Let us evaluate our relationship with our Gurujans now. Our Gurujans have taught us that Guru is not a body but a tattva, meaning reality or the truth or the knower of the reality or the truth. So Guru can lead us from darkness to light, show us the path we must walk on to go towards Shree Ram, our Divine Mother. As we know child has to walk one step or crawl or even hint that he or she wants to go toward mother and mother comes running and picks the child up.
Our relationship with Guru is one of Guru and Shishya or The Guru and disciple … a student who wants to learn and walks on the path shown by the Guru.
A path of living life filled with love of Ram Naam, with love for all, becoming a better human being, searching for lasting peace, etc. All of that is not easy but we must walk on that path because that is the path that can take us to Shree Ram in . To make it easier we can walk, crawl, or run towards becoming a newborn divine child.
Many Sadhaks feel that our Gurujans are also Premi or Divine Lover as Shree Ram and they have given us the love of a mother in addition to giving us Ram Naam, Discourses, and Satsangs.
They are no longer in the body but their love will always be with us.
This is our true relationship with them. This is the relationship we can bring to the world if we so desire. We have to make this choice…each one of us.
Satsang is being around Sadguru or a realized saint-soul. When we are in this kind of company our negative karma for that time period is made inactive and our positive karma is activated. In this way we are able to do our sadhana or spiritual practice with our heart and mind in it.
There are three ways we can receive Guru’s Grace:
- By the sound of his/her words
- By his/her sight
- By his/her touch
Guru and Parmatma (Param Guru), both are always giving us something highly beneficial for our growth, to become a better human being, energy to take care of our responsibilities, strength to bear the suffering and pain, and the practice for moksha, and more.
Ram Ram Ji to all fellow sadhaks. For those of you residing in the US or Canada, please be advised that there is an Open Sadhna Satsang from May 17th to May 20th in Saylorsburg, PA. Param Pujya Maharaj Ji from Shree Ram Sharnam – Delhi is arriving in the USA to grace the event and bestow his blessings. Since we are all followers of Pujya Swami Ji Maharaj, we all belong to the same Shree Ram Sharnam family and this is a good opportunity for all sadhaks to experience the event and receive the spiritual growth that we all need living here in the US. If anyone is interested to attend, please send an email to – email@example.com or review the entire program schedule on
Jai Jai Ram
Everyone at one time or another has had impure thoughts in their mind and everyone has a potential to reach the highest. Looking inward we will find our mind is or has been full of impure thoughts.
As Sant Kabir says:
Bura jo dekhan main chala, bura na milaya koye
Jo man khoja apna, tau mujhse bura na koye.
This morning the following thought came in mind while doing dhyan:
Jitna bhi ho man kala
Ram Naam usme kar dega ujaala
(No matter how impure the mind is Ram Naam can make it pure)
Fellow spiritual aspirants it seems that our Gurujans. other Sant-Mahatmas, and Param Guru Shree Ram are not only telling us about that but they guarantee that Ram Naam can enlighten us. So let us listen to our beloved Gurujans and do more and more Jaap, Simran, Dhyan, and Seva whenever possible and attend Satsangs at Shreeramsharnam to receive more and more Ram Kripa and Guru Kripa.
Jai Jai Ram.
Shree Swamiji Maharaj in Prarthan Pushpanjali shares with us how to pray:
Buddhi Chit dau fefre – merre rahen arog,
Tere prem supawan ka – kar ke shubh upbhog. (Bhakti Prakash Page 17 – 7)
[My intellect, consciousness, and two lungs may remain disease-free,
By receiving Your Divine Love (…Oh merciful, Supreme Being).]
(Above is only a sadhak’s understanding and translation in English and does not convey the full meaning of what Swamiji Maharaj writes in Hindi)
With Sadguru Maharaj’s grace we can receive this love by doing simran (reciting Ram Nam while keeping it’s meaning in mind).
Most sadhaks would agree that putting forth a little effort in keeping the lungs healthy by brisk walking, pranayam, or some other form of exercise that nourishes the body and mind may help us in our practice .. specially in dhyan.
Swamiji Maharaj has even dedicated a few pages to Kaya Shodhak Pranayam in Bhakti Prakash. Those who have attended Sadhana Satsangs with Pujya Shree Dr. Vishwa Mitterji Maharaj may have seen him taking brisk walks in Haridwar and elsewhere.
Ram Ram Ji.
According to Sant Mahatmas:
To be born as a human being is a blessing which is very difficult to obtain. Much more difficult is to have God’s blessing and to start a journey as a saadhak (devotee). And it is extremely, extremely, extremely difficult to have a Satguru in life.
So my beloved brothers and sisters, we the saadhaks are most fortunate to have a loving Sadguru in our lives. We are not able to live our daily lives as shown by Maharajji in Sadhana Satsang and as in Pravachan Piyush by Swamiji Maharaj. It helps to cry in front of Ma (Divine Mother – Lord Ma) and talk to God about our weaknesses and ask for mercy and grace (kripa).
Each one of us need to wake up to the fact that, “Main shaktimayi atma hoon” (I am a powerful soul), powerful to walk on the path as shown in Sadhna Satsang and discourses given delivered by our Gurujans. No matter how many times we get off the path we simply need to get back on it and know that our Gurujans and Shree Ram are always with us, helping, and protecting us.
