This poem was inspired by reading Swami Ji Maharaj’s prayers in Bhakti Prakash and listening to them from Pujya Dr. Maharaj Ji in satsang and his discourses recorded on Shreeramsharnam’s website.
Of course by Param Guru Jai Jai Ram who is the real doer.
Guru never dies, shishya keep the Guru alive by living the Guru’s teachings. This is what Maharajji has said more than once.
Pujyya Shree Maharajji’s body was immersed in Neel Dhara, Haridwar on July 3rd, 2012 at 6:00 pm (IST).
Today is the day after Guru Purnima:
Now it is up to us individually to take at least one lesson
he has taught us and bring that into our life.
What will be that for you?
My personal favorite is on how to give up a negative habit.
In his discourse, Maharaji suggests that we can give up the habit for one day and then extend the same for another day and so on. He also tells us that mind needs to be totally cleansed and surrendered to Lord.
Best wishes to all sadhaks.
Ram Ram Ji.
Our Gurujans and Shastras (Scriptures) tell us that we should feel the presence of Parmatma all around us and in us.
Similarly, we must know that our Gurujans are close to us always.
We must bring this feeling over and over again to receive help in everyday living according to what they have taught us and with our spiritual progress.
In Pravachan Piyush Swamiji Maharaj mentions (Swatm Pratiti – Page 105) that Manu Maharaj says we must hope to succeed til the end.
Being humble is not easy, but look at the benefits of what we can get if we do. We have heard this message over and over and Pujya Maharajji also mentions this in his pravachan:
Tu jhuk ke chalya kar, ki jhukya nu Ram milde.
Water does not rest in high places, but only in the low
but if pride prevents you from bending, you will go thirsty (Source: http://www.Kabir.Ca)
If we want to bathe in the Ganga of Ram Naam, it is important for us to be humble. Where can we learn to be humble … only from those who are – such as our loving Gurujans and other Saints.

A sadhak after years of sadhana was getting disappointed due to little spiritual growth. She said,
I was disappointed with not growing spiritually the way I expected to. My behavior towards others was not getting much better either. I could not too dhyan too well .. at the time of meditation my thoughts about the world were becoming stronger and stronger.
Somehow, I kept reciting Amritvani daily, little jap and simran, and with Ram Kripa (God’s Grace) I, once again got interested in doing sadhana with a new attitude. I owe this to my beloved Gurujans who have sowed the seeds of Ram Nam in my innermost being and they have finally begun to sprout. I will encourage everyone to never, never give up the sadhana no matter what happens.
Once Pujya Dr. Vishwamitter Ji Maharaj had said in his pravachan that:
Parmatma Kripa, Guru Kripa, and Granth Kripa is upon, what is missing is mun kripa (mind’s grace) and that is required.
Let us keep on practicing putting our mind towards our spiritual practice and stay closely in touch with our Gurujans in our meditation, by listening to their pravachans, dhuns, and viewing their beautiful and blissful photos.
Man kahan hai? Kya veh hamare ango jaisa hai? (Where is mind, is it like parts of our body?)
There is only one cosmic mind – Our Gurujans
Our mind is just a bundle of thoughts.
Yet mind is where we do our puja … mind is the one that needs to be transformed. Soul is pure (Main shudh atma hoon as mentioned by Swamiji Maharaj in Bhakti Prakash). Swamiji Maharaj also says that,”Main mukt atma hoon” (I am a liberated soul). So mind is not free or liberated from the thoughts of the world or the body consciousness. That is why we do dhyan (concentration).
Pujya Dr. Vishwa Mitter Ji Maharaj says, “Dhyan kamzoron ka kaam nahin hai, Dhayan shoorveeron ka kaam hai” (Concentration is not for the weak-minded people but for the brave ones).
