Shree Ram Chandra is called Maryada Purshottam. He is the best role model there is to emulate even though it is not easy, on the other hand it is extremely difficult to be like Him. Yet we must move towards that by constantly being vigilant over our mind and senses. They can be our downfall.
As our loving gurujans suggest that we need to be eating less, talking less, sleeping less, and have less sensual enjoyment – that is the place to start. One by one by can do this in reducing it a little bit daily.
Bhagwad Gita gives the same message that meditation is not for those who do eat a lot and who do starve themselves, the ones who do sleep a lot and who do not sleep at all, etc.
Now the question we must ask ourselves, “where do I need to start or what area do I need more discipline?”
This answer will definitely guide you on your spiritual journey.
With Ram Kripa and Guru Kripa, and a little effort on your part of Amritvani paath, Jap-simran, Dhyan, and some selfless service , you will blossom into your divinity.
Pujya Maharajji’s mentioned in his pravachan that Shree Swamiji Maharaj has left us with some work – to become like a child. He then adds that we should pray to Parmaatma that may I never become a big person.
With our practice as shown by our Gurujans and with the power of Ram Naam we can take an attitude of a witness (chaitanaya bhav), giving up the notion that … I am the body. By surrendering all the fruits of the action to Lord (before we begin each action as Bhagvad Gita teaches us) because we are not really the doers – without the inspiration of Lord and the energy provided by Shree Ram (source of all powers), how can we do anything.
(Shree Hanumanji said the same thing when he was praised for burning the Lanka Nagri)
When we practice this over and over again we will be reminded of the fact that we really don’t do anything and that “Lord is the sole doer”. In this manner, we will become more and more humble. With this humility in us it may become a little easier for us to be a small person – even a child, at least in relationship to our Divine Mother.
We can extend this practice to every human being because to love Ram is to love everyone. Once again it is not easy to do so but it is also not impossible as shown by so many people before us and some who are among us.
Like anything worthwhile it takes some practice for a long, long time but with the Ram Kripa it can happen sooner than we think, so always have hope and faith in Shree Ram and Ram Naam, an invaluable diamond given to us by our beloved Gurujans. “Cash” this diamond and be spiritually rich – that is the only wealth we can take with us.

Jai Shree Ram.
Mahatma Gandhiji and PremJi Maharaj not only share the same birthday (October 2nd) – both of them were devotees of Lord Ram. So many of Sant Mahatmas like them must have bhavana, attitude and feelings such as ” Rome Rome Shree Ram Pukare ..,” that most of us can’t even imagine.
Hum par bhi aisi kripa karo mere Ram. Hamara rome rome bhi Shree Ram Pukare ..aisi kripa karo mere Ram. (Bless me Lord Ram so that every atom of my being calls for Shree Ram.. yearns for Shree Ram).
Our Gurujans tell us that for this to happen we must do our practice consistently and also attend Satsangs (where Sant Mahatmas and true devotees are present). We need to and must go again and again and learn from Sant Mahatmas how they lead a life of selfless service, express love and devotion to God, and impart knowledge in spiritual discourses, etc.
According to Shree Swamiji Maharaj, Mahatma Gandhiji used to recite Sthitpragya Ke Lakshan (Shreemad Bhagvad Gita – second chapter) with heart at both times of his daily prayers.
We can learn from the lives of Mahatma Gandhiji and our Gurujans by following their advice and may be one day with Ram Kripa we will also be blessed with similar bhavana and bhakti.
May the following dhun sung by Maharajji evoke similar devotional feelings in us.
Hum baar -baar yeh galti karte hain ki hamara dhyan karm ke phal par laga rehta hai. Aisi galti karne se hum sum ho kar karm nahin karte.
In Bhagavadgita, Lord Krishna tells Arjuna (as per Swamiji Maharaj’s translation):
Karm hi main (kartavya paalan karne main hi) tera adhikar hai, karm se utpan huye phalo main (tera adhikar) kadachit bhi nahin hai.
Yeh galti kaise band hogi?
- Bhagavadgita dhyan se pade aur aachar main laayen
- Simran karain (Ram Naam Bahut pyara Naam hai)
- Nishkam bhav se seva karain.
- Paramaatmaa ki kripa mangain
- Satsang main jaayen (Sat purush/Sant ke paas)
As Pujya Vishwa Mitter Ji Maharaj (Pujya Maharaj JI) says that Sab Ram Karta Hai – Lord is the sole doer, keeping that in mind Shree Ram made it clear this morning to this child that Satsangati and Sankirtan are very important for every Sadhak. As mentioned by Pujya Maharaj JI in one of his discourses of Naarad Bhakti that to have Sanyam, Sadaachar, Seva, and Simran in our lives we must have Satsangati – or association of Sant Mahatma, Satpurush, Sadguru, etc.
Sadhaks must have faith that the Satsangati and Sankirtan will definitely help us lead a life of self-discipline and self-control over our negative habits and behaviors, in addition to that we will have the opportunity to serve others with nishkam bhav or desiring no fruit of our actions, and last but not least the Simran …. Ram Naam Jap with love, devotion, and feeling of connectedness to Paramatma Shree Ram.
In Bhakti Prakash reading yesterday, a message from Swami Ji Maharaj was crystal clear – that is to simply surrender to Shree Ram and even forget about Sakaam or Nishkam Karma. That is the same thing mentioned in his Gita Saar and also Pujya Maharaj Ji mentions that in one of his discourse … Lord Krishna telling Arjuna that Chhor sab ye Karmyog, Gyanyog, Bhaktiyog, aur sab yog, meri sharan mein aa ja, Arjun tera aur mera ghar ek hai. (Lord Krishna,”Arjun, leave all the paths of yoga such as Karma Yoga, Gyan Yoga, Bhakti Yoga, simply surrender to me and know that your home/abode and my home/abode is one and the same”) 🙂
For those of us who can’t be with our Sant Mahatmas in person for any reason, distance or lack of physical health, we can simply remember what Pujya Maharaj Ji told us at the time of diksha that our Gurujans are always protecting us and helping us in our sadhana. So we can simply choose to do Sankirtan and Simran while feeling that our Gurujans are with us, I believe this will help us become better human beings and our sadhana will progress with Ram Kripa and with Guru Kripa.
Please let others Sadahaks know of your understanding, experiences, and thoughts about same or similar subjects. It will also help me if you add a comment below.
Jai Jai Ram.
